Mad Monday
I know the title to this post says mad Monday, well we were not mad. However, we kind of had a day like no other. We had a test in writing and in Math. They were not too pleased with the thought of taking both, but I wanted them over. We are moving on in both subjects and will meet to reteach concepts not mastered. We had a fantastic time getting our work done and visited Mrs. Duckworth's class to see their writing books of poetry. My students came out of there with many new found ideas. Picture day is tomorrow and we are back on regular mode for learning.

THE BEST CLASS
I have the best class, today they chose to stay in for recess to allow Sinnay to finally do her show-n-tell. Thank you again for this, you all rock.
Ellis finished his week for Top Banana and I am sad to see him have to go, but we have to get through all the students. We learned a lot today about him, he has to share his birthday with his sister. I feel sorry because that day for me MUST be all about ME. However, Ellis says he loves it and feels "happy". Ellis you sure are sweet. Also we got to see his trophy from football because he brought his show-n-tell. He explained, "That it was because we won the championship game and was we were undefeated." Way to go Ellis I am proud of you and your team. I look forward to hearing from Adel, he is our next Top Banana.
We took our Spelling tests and they loved the new way we have partners now. Ask them how I will be choosing their partners from now on. We meningeal to music and had a great day learning about how to ask questions. We wrote more poems and Monday we will be publishing them in our poetry books. We continued with two and three digit addition and subtracting.

We have a new Top Banana this week he doing great I can not wait to have him present his poster. Ms. Wolfean is losing her mind because she can not seem to remember to get this in our day. I promise Ellis tomorrow we will not forget.
We had a fun filled day full of learning and oh boy was it interesting. Ms. Wolfean taught us new chants, please ask them to explain them to you. We started our lesson in Social Studies about past and present and they saw a phone that blew them out of the water. Please have them Google one. We also begin our unit on folktales, fables, myths, and legends. We are learning about how to locate the lesson in the story. In math we have started with two and three digit addition with regrouping. Please give them extra math problems to complete. I hope you all have understood and will forgive me about my updates due to the fact I just can not seem to catch up with life. I hope my life will catch up soon, these weather days taken have really caused issues.

Happy Valentines Day!!
Sinnay reported today about her Nanna and Poppy who live in New York. "I love him very much" she said. She will be visiting them over spring Break and have a blast. She is praying for the snow. Her favorite book is Pete the Cat. She loves it because it is very funny. She loves to dance because she loves the twirl. Sinnay was a doll to hear from you.
Have a safe weekend and enjoy your time with the family. Sorry to send all the kids home sugared up.

BURRR!! It was cold to day. PARENTS: PLEASE CHECK THE ANNOUNCEMENT PAGE!!!
I loved having the time this morning to sleep in, but sure did wish we had a full day. I will be sending home a sign up genius for the party hopefully tomorrow. We will be having fruit, floats, snacks, and sharing our Valentines. I will send home a class list tomorrow with the students names, however, they do not have to place their names on them. It is easier for the younger ones to just drop and go. Thank you for the understanding. Also NO MATH HOMEWORK, we had a writing assessment.
Jacob Gregory is our Top Banana and he is having a ball reporting and being the leader this week. We heard from not only him, but his Grandma. She reported about the Dead Sea and showed us artifacts from the past. The students were very impressed.
Jacob reported on being able to go to a formula one race and seeing a car almost crash. "It was amazing, but glad he didn't crash into the wall." He also loves eating M-n-M Pancakes, "I love stuffing myself with them." We all got pretty hungry after this. We loved hearing how he made a race car with his did. One student replied, "OH my that's cool!" I would agree too. He reported that, "He thinks he won because he was the only one with a head on it."

Delayed start stay warm. I will be sending home valentines letter home today. Please return tomorrow with updated email. I will then send home a sign up genius for you to sign up for treats to bring.
